Anger Management

Anger is defined in Webster's dictionary as "a feeling of displeasure resulting from injury, mistreatment, opposition, etc., and usually showing itself in a desire to fight back at the supposed cause of the feeling."
Anger management is:
-
Being aware of your anger and underlying feelings
-
Recognizing that the feeling of anger is as valid as any other emotion
-
Learning the difference between between appropriate and inappropriate anger
-
Learning how to express your feelings, including anger, appropriately
-
Giving yourself time to see the situation clearly
-
Communicating your thoughts in a non-threatening manner
-
Recognizing that angry feelings don't have to lead to angry "acting-out" behavior
